When Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor was born on 26th April, 1926, she was just another royal, the daughter of the Duke of York, King George V’s younger son. No one expected this child, nicknamed “Lilibet,” would ever become Queen. Then, her grandfather’s death and her uncle’s abdication changed everything. Her father became King George VI, and after his passing, she was crowned Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. Over time, her dedication has made her an enduring and beloved symbol of the strength and spirit of her nation. She became the UK’s longest reigning monarch in 2016.

Now, Her Majesty’s milestone 95th birthday on 26th April, 2021 has made her Britain’s longest-lived monarch as well. Following a 260-year-old tradition, she will also observe a second, official birthday in June. This landmark birthday will still shine bright, with the exclusive Queen Elizabeth II 95th Silver Double Crown.

The reverse of this exclusive tribute showcases the four profile portraits of Her Majesty used on coinage during her illustrious reign. Each is separated by a finely detailed rendering of the Sword of State. Cast in 1678, the sword symbolises the monarch’s royal authority. It is carried by Her Majesty during the State Opening of Parliament. It has been used at every coronation since 1911. During the ceremony, the monarch is girded and blessed by the  Sword. The fine detail seen in the sword’s casting represents over 2,000 diamonds, rubies and emeralds which have been set in the sword. These represent roses, thistles, shamrocks, oak leaves and acorns. Two diamond lion heads, one at each end of the cross-piece have ruby eyes. Today, in celebration of Her Majesty’s auspicious 95th birthday, they shine once more in the gleam of layered 24-carat gold providing a marvellous contrast to the pure 999 silver of the coin. In minted raised-relief around the coin’s edge, the Latin phrase “Elizabeth II Dei Gratian Regina F. D. (“By the Grace of God” “Defender of the Faith”) recalls a proud history of British coinage. A specially cast 95th birthday cypher completes this stunning tribute to one of the most beloved public figures of all time.

Mintage is extremely limited at just 199 earmarked for a global release. Strong demand is expected for this exclusive 95th birthday remembrance. Don’t risk missing this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, act now.
